I just came across an article released this morning over on cnnmoney.com profiling the business strategy of our own Sub Pop. It’s a fairly interesting read and discusses how Sub Pop has managed to survive over 20 years in the music business and looks at some of the strategies they used to do so. Sub Pop’s Jonathan Poneman and Megan Jasper discuss everything from slashing their employee roster (from 60 at one point to 27) and signing the right bands to the role that digital sales has had for them. For those interested in topics like this, you can check out the article here.
