I have a framed Lennon picture, too. Krist Novoselic’s column on music and politics runs every Tuesday on Reverb. Check back on Friday when he writes about what he’s been listening to.Here are some tunes I have in rotation at my place. It’s all vinyl.Erkin Koray “Nihansin Dideden”: This is like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan meets the Jefferson Airplane. It’s genuine Turkish psychedelia from the era. It’s got a good groove that split up with this insanely long and busy note progression. But Turkey is the crossroads between the east and west.Lady GaGa, “Paparazzi (Filthy Dukes Remix)”: I love remixes and the GaGa serves ’em up. Fun!!!Vampire Weekend, Contra: I’ve been spinning this disk and enjoy the light feel. I really like it when it slows down with the airy keys. The title track, “Contra” captures this nicely.
