Hey! It’s Record Store Day!

CliffsNotes for the biggest shopping day this side of Christmas.

On Saturday, crate-diggers and music lovers will once again celebrate their own unofficial holiday, Record Store Day. Hundreds of bands—from Eddie Vedder and Death Cab to Shabazz Palaces and Star Anna—will issue special releases sold only at the nation’s independent record stores. And to keep patrons hopping from one shop to the next, they’ve lined up a full day of in-store performances. Some highlights:

Easy Street (Lower Queen Anne): Dierks Bentley, 1 p.m.

Everyday Music: Brian John Appleby, 10 a.m. Dr. Troy Wadsworth (DJ set), 11 a.m. DJ El Toro, 1 p.m. DJ Sureshot, 2 p.m. Naomi Punk, 3 p.m. Dave Segal, 4 p.m. Seapony, 5 p.m. Hotels, 6 p.m. TacocaT, 7 p.m. The Horde and the Harem, 8 p.m.

Silver Platters (Lower Queen Anne): Will Hoge, noon. Gravel Road, 1 p.m. Dar Williams, 2 p.m. Caveman, 3:30 p.m. Perfume Genius, 5 p.m.

Sonic Boom: Star Anna, 4 p.m.

Wall of Sound: Jherek Bischoff, 7 p.m.

Remember, not every release will be available at your favorite store, nor are you guaranteed entry to an in-store show if it’s reached capacity. Your best bet is to call ahead with any questions, and show up early if there’s a band you really want to see. Good luck!
