People: Seattle or Leavenworth?: Can you tell the difference between the people of Leavenworth and the folks of Seattle?

Neil Young, Death Cab for Cutie in Everett: Neil Young performed at the Everett Events Center on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Fremont’s Burlesque Tacos: No Joke, Serious Eats: When I was first tipped off to a burlesque taco truck, I wasn’t quite sure how to respond. Having grown up in Eastern Washington, I’m no stranger to the taco wagon aE” but figuring out how to factor burlesque into the equation was a challenge. Bad jokes were in abundance.

Friday Night: Bayside, Valencia, and The Status at El CorazA³n: Valencia was undeniably impressive aE” the performance had all of the trappings of a headliner. Though I had heard the name before, seeing the Philly five-piece in person made it stick. Between Shane Henderson on vocals and George Ciukurescu on bass, there was no shortage of showmanship. Add in JD Perry’s guitar prowess and Maxim Soria’s wickedly speedy drumming, and you have one hell of a show.

Last Night: Kings of Leon at The Paramount: Kings of Leon performed Monday, Oct. 20 at The Paramount.
