First things first: Saturday’s Presidents show at The Showbox — the first

First things first: Saturday’s Presidents show at The Showbox — the first of two nights in their annual PUSA Fest — has sold out. And if you’re a Presidents fan (and you should be), you’re going to want to hurry up and get your ticket to Sunday’s show because, as frontmant Chris Ballew told me last week: “We will play a never-before heard Presidents songs. How about that?”Ballew says the band has recently unearthed some material from PUSA Vol. 1 — written and demoed in the ’90s when the band was making its first two records. They’re in the process of looking for the best way to get the recordings to fans. But to start, they’re going to perform at least one of them for the first time this weekend. Hey, speaking of Ballew, he’s appearing on Saturday’s installment of Seattle Sound — the music show I co-host with Josh Kerns on KIRO — and is performing a songs from both the PUSA and Caspar Babypants catalogs. Tune in to 97.3 FM at 7 p.m. Saturday or 5 p.m. Sunday to check it out!
