Every Sunday at 3 p.m. KIRO’s Josh Kerns and I take to the airwaves at 97.3 FM to talk and argue about all things music in a new show called Seattle Sounds. In this week’s episode, Mr. Kerns and I roped in our old friend/DJ Marco Collins, who recently took a gig curating the music films for SIFF. And since the show airs just hours before the Academy awards, we’re taking the opportunity to talk about some of our favorite rock docs and music flicks. All of my music movie conversations begin and end with High Fidelity. Josh and Marco have more nuanced taste on this matter. But for me, it all comes back to Hi Fi. Elsewhere on the show … Joe Johnson, the founder of Knick Knack records — featured in this week’s paper — stops by to tell us about his new label, and one of our favorite new bands, The Foghorns. We’re also giving away a pair of tickets to see Andrew W.K. perform I Get Wet at the Showbox on March 4.See you Sunday!
