Another dance inducing set came from electro-pop Diamond Rings who had the crowd jumping and squealing under the late August sun.
Fans surged the floor prior to Kendrick Lamar in the Key Arena causing security to be extra tight. Once the hip hop took the stage the crowd was putty in his hands.

The bluesy Gus + Scout were a highlight of the new comers to Bumbershoot this year, out shining the facts of who their family names  (if you’re curious, lookup who their parents are) with powerful vocals and a sultry sway.
This “performative kinetic sculpture” 56L by Danish artist Henrik Menne is apart of the Bumbershoot's Visual Arts collection ‘Enigma Machine’. This machine pumps out thin threads of hot glue creating a cocoon that will continue to grow over the three day fest.

Nic Offer of !!! (Chk Chk Chk) caused a rambunctious dance party at the Tune In Stage, popping hips, jumping to the crowd, and lifting his shorts for the press.
Gary Numan’s heavy industrial synth set showed that the rocker is far more than his classic hit “Cars”.
A freshly shaven Kris Orlowski serenaded his hometown landmark with a beautifully inspiring set at dusk.
The Passenger String Quartet shinned backing Orlowski and band, with their strings adding a new level of warmth to Kris’ voice.
While the festival celebrates it’s 43rd year music fans of all ages continue to flock to Seattle Center to check out their favorite acts.
Rock and rollers Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside closed out the Plaza Stage, rounding out a good first day of the festival.
Even though he had a bit of a late start, Washed Out had couples making out in the grass to the dreamy live soundtrack.
