Chicken in the Breadpan

The devil, as the Charlie Daniels Band would have you believe, had to go all the way down to Georgia to find a fiddle-playing soul seller, but you only have to go north a ways to Fiddler’s Inn to get yours. Now, to be honest, we’re not absolutely sure that you’re actually going to find a violin player ready to strike a deal, nor are we all that positive that you’re going to find a violin player at all, but, several nights per week, you will find live music (usually of the folk and/or bluegrass variety), and on Mondays, a damn fine open-mike night. You will also find myriad microbrews, a nice midbrow selection of wines, a quaint outdoor seating area, and a truly great menu featuring sandwiches on locally made artisan breads and thick, doughy pizzas. 9219 35th Ave. N.E., 206-525-0752.
