Cat StevensSub Pop band Still Corners plays the Sunset tonight at 9:30 with Ganglians and Witch Gardens. Still Corners are a four-piece out of London whose debut LP, Creatures of an Hour, was released by Sub Pop in early October. The record is a collection of hazy, abstract pop songs anchored by Tessa Murray’s haunting vocals and great swathes of ’60s organ, recalling a retro-leaning version of Beach House’s first record. The band will perform songs from that album on the air at 1 p.m. on KEXP before playing Sunset Tavern tonight, and it’s highly recommended that you tune in and listen. The show at the Sunset (which also features Reverb favorites Witch Gardens) begins at 9:30, and tickets are $10. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
