Brandon PenaKeyboard Kid’s new single, “Challenger,” is out now.Since we have a special look at the year in Seattle music in a combination December/January issue of Reverb Monthly — out Dec. 19 — we ran the reviews that normally would have run in the December issue of RM in the music section of the current issue of Seattle Weekly. That means you can get a look at all 48 of the city’s new releases — from Caspar Babypants and to Sonny Bonoho — in today’s paper. We’ll be doing the same thing, FYI, on Jan. 2, running the normal January RM reviews in the print edition of SW. The normal Reverb Monthly schedule will pick back up again with the February issue, which drops on January 30. Got that? We’ll post more reminders as we get through the holidays. Meantime, here’s a look at what’s new in Seattle music this month.
