Blanket Truth, Urban WildlifeSelf-released, out nowFacebookBlanket Truth is a DIY bedroom pop collaboration between Seattle musicians Jon Manning and Eli Damm, and Urban Wildlife looks to be their last album: After seven years, the group is disbanding in early October after playing a month-long farewell tour throughout the month of September. Just how cutesy are the cutesy pop songs on Urban Wildlife? The liner notes differentiate between soprano and baritone ukelele. There’s whistling, handclaps, beatboxing, and shouted group backup vocals. Also, that album cover. It’s the most aggressively twee album you’ll hear all year. Stream the full album on Blanket Truth’s Bandcamp, and listen to “What’s Up Now” after the jump. What’s Up Now by Blanket Truth
