At the very least, three new songs should heighten your senses. If you didn’t have your Tuesday reflective time penciled in yet for next week, here’s some excellent news. Next week Matador is reissuing Lessons, this year’s short but majorly depressing debut gem from local singer/songwriter Perfume Genius, aka Mike Hadreas.Along with new packaging, the album will come with a download code for three new songs. The first, “Your Drum,” actually isn’t all that new. “Divine Faxes” and “Dreeem” are the other newbies and you can take a listen to the latter over at Stereogum. With its bleak tone and falsetto vocals, “Dreeem” turns out to be right in line with everything else Perfume Genius has released so far. At this point, we’ll take it, while also looking forward to seeing Lessons on plenty 2010 best-of local lists.
