As mentioned before, Kyp Malone from TV On The Radio will be debuting his new project Rain Machine tonight at Neumos, and according to their Twitter (don’t knock it), you can buy tickets (going for $12 advance) for half the price at Moe Bar, the bar to the immediate left of the box office. That indicates to me that either outreach wasn’t very effective, or nobody knows who Rain Machine is, since TVOTR regularly sells out far larger venues. Regardless, it’s a pretty great deal. Since Moe Bar’s Happy Hour features $2 wells, you and a friend could get a drink and a show for under $10. Now that’s recession-friendly.
