As I mentioned before briefly in this blog regarding their new mixtape, Seattle’s THEE Satisfaction is being filmed this evening by MTV for a segment called $5 Cover. I don’t totally get the purpose of the show, it’s half scripted/half reality show, but the folks who are doing most of the filming for this are from Seattle and they’re taking the time to highlight really good Seattle musicians, so I’m all for it. If you want to come out to Hidmo in the Central District today for the filming, they need extras. But in order to be an extra on the set, you need to email Ben Rapson ASAP and he’ll get you on the list. You’ve got to be available from 4 p.m.–10 p.m.I ran into the ladies of THEE Satisfaction twice over the weekend, once at the Dyme Def/Fresh Espresso show at the Seattle Center on Friday, and again at the KEXP BBQ where they performed “Magnetic Blackness” during Champagne Champagne’s set. I imagine they’ll be doing a bunch of songs from their new Snow Motion mixtape. If you’re a fan of that project or THEE Satisfaction in general, get on the list and let folks who watch MTV know how awesome these ladies really are.
