As Aja (via Jonathan) first sniffed out last week, the former owners of Kincora are moving into the space previously occupied by Sugar. Disheveled Media’s Jason Rothman was brought on as talent buyer, though he hasn’t had any hands on experience booking (that certainly doesn’t mean he can’t do it, but he is green and that’s one tough space they are tackling). I was very pleased this morning to hear that they’ve secured the very valuable asset of Ms. Jenny Bendel, pictured above and featured this week in my column for her role in successfully rebuilding the Sunset’s 4′ O Clock Rock matinees. Congrats to both Bendel and King Cobra. They have their work cut out for them, but having Bendel in the mix is definitely a smart move.
