No, you don’t have to make a card, or any brunch reservations for your hardworking, neighborhood never holier than thou vinyl slingers. But you can get down to live music by Mark Pickerel and His Praying Hands, Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter as well as a short set by Star Anna at Easy Street’s Queen Anne locale. Record Store Day, according to the day’s website, is a day during which record stores all over the country “simultaneously link and act as one with the purpose of celebrating the culture and unique place that they occupy both in their local communities and nationally.”The website has also collected pro-record store quotes from many an artist including:Brett Netson (Built To Spill)“The local record store is a cultural event.
