A couple of months ago, Coldplay announced that they were giving away downloads of their latest live album, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, for the price of an email. All you have to do is go to this site, drop in your email address, and a window pops up where you download the entire 9-track album. If you haven’t done that yet, go for it. Consider it a primer on what the band is going to sound like this Saturday, when the band plays the Gorge Amphitheater. Oddly enough, it seems like there isn’t a large enough buzz about the show and lots of people don’t really know (or care) that Coldplay is coming to Washington on Saturday. Also worth noting is that the incredible Malian band Amadou and Mariam will be opening up for Coldplay on that night. While it would be next to impossible for the Malian duo to outshine the Britpop four-piece, chances are you’ll be impressed by their music live if you’re in attendance on Saturday.
