A 57% decline in print ads is enough to sink any magazine, and Blender is no exception.I can’t say I will personally miss this particular music glossy (though I was honestly a big admirer of their mad picture captioning skills), but the protracted death of print media continues to freak me the fuck out. The number of talented music writers being tossed out of work right now is heartbreaking, and as a lifelong fan of the tactile, my spine chills at the notion of having only the blogosphere to rely on for thoughtful music journalism. At least The Big Takeover, Chunklet and Arthur are still around. For now.
