MetaBoost Reviews – Negative Side Effects or Legit Benefits?

Are you tired of gaining weight in places most sensitive to you? Are you afraid that your slowed down metabolism might give rise to unwanted health implications such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease to say the least. One company on a mission to rectify metabolic disorders and related symptoms for all has recently launched a supplement that they believe can supercharge the metabolism. Dubbed Boss Wellness, the team vouches that when taken as directed, results are highly probable in not just one, but several areas of the body. Without any further delay, here is a comprehensive guide on Boss Wellness’ “MetaBoost”.

What is MetaBoost?

MetaBoost is a thermogenic supplement intended to provide a healthy metabolism. There remains a growth to address a slowed-down metabolism, as it can introduce an abrupt increase in weight, and may go as far as demotivating consumers. Through this all-natural formula, some comfort can be attained. In what ways? Because MetaBoost supposedly targets the root cause of unnatural weight gain, the outcomes that innately arise are as follows:

  • A reduction in both stubborn fat and risk of developing diabetes and heart diseases
  • An increase in the rate at which weight loss is achieved
  • A sustainable source of energy that keeps individuals on their feet
  • Healthy hair, skin, joints, and bones among others

Isn’t it fascinating to see how a change to one system immediately implies proper functioning of the entire body? To fully understand the power housed within MetaBoost, we need to take a step back and reflect on its founding mechanism.

How does MetaBoost work?

As hinted earlier, MetaBoost is advertised as a thermogenic formula. This is a fancy term that represents an increase in the body’s core temperature on a cellular level. When the body burns calories, it generates heat, and this according to one source is the founding principle for MetaBoost [1]. The presence of heat is trusted to boost the metabolism, possibly turning on the body’s fat-burning processes.

By combining a series of ingredients with similar stimulating capacities, the team behind this solution affirms that the result will be an “increase [in] speed of fat melting,” hence, the reason for so many health benefits (as seen above). Now that we have some basic knowledge of how MetaBoost works, let’s analyze the ingredients that make it a thermogenic formula.

What ingredients are inside MetaBoost?

The MetaBoost formula encompasses seven primary ingredients in the form of plants, herbs, vitamins, and/or minerals. Here’s what we gathered on their effects on weight loss:

Raspberry Ketone

Raspberry ketone is a type chemically derived from red raspberries. According to one source, this chemical is trusted to help with obesity by increasing metabolism. However, reliable scientific evidence that it can improve weight loss in humans is supposedly lacking [2]. To add to the latter, another source emphasized that existing studies only promised results in mice and rats. In fact, the piece argued that “the results weren’t nearly as impressive as the supplement manufacturers would have you believe [3].” Why do they think that? Well, one study involved administering raspberry ketones to mice on a fattening diet. By the end, it was found that the placebo group’s weight was 10% more than that of the control. The twist here is that the control group did not lose weight.

Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is a vitamin-like chemical that acts as an antioxidant. It is a required component for breaking down carbohydrates and consequently, increasing energy production. A meta-analysis on the effect of ALA on weight and body mass index (BMI) concluded that “ALA treatment showed small, yet significant short-term weight loss compared to placebo [4].” As per another source, interest in ALA for weight loss has been booming in recent times, but just like raspberry ketone, more research needs to be done to generalize results [5].

Green Coffee Bean Extract

Green coffee bean extract comes from coffee beans that haven’t been extensively processed. As a result, they are believed to promote blood sugar retention, blood pressure, and cholesterol. One paper that assessed the efficacy of green coffee extract (GCE) as a weight-loss supplement for humans decided to conduct a meta-analysis. In the end, the researchers reported a significant difference in body weight in the GCE group compared to the placebo group. In the end, the team explained that “the results from these trials are promising, but the studies are all of poor methodological quality [6].”

A more recent meta-analysis with the same goal of assessing GCE, but regarding glycemic indices and lipid profile found positive results. Specifically, the researchers found a significant reducing effect of GCE on fasting blood glucose and serum levels of LDL and HDL (in women). In the future, they hope to see subgroups of clinical trials to ensure results are comparable and replicable [7].

Forskolin

Forskolin is a plant root belonging to the mint family. Theoretically, it has been argued that this root can help to trigger weight loss by generating lipase and adenylate cyclase enzymes, both of which can be used to burn fat for fuel [8]. A study that investigated the effects of forskolin on female body composition reported no significant differences in caloric or macronutrient intake, adding that an improvement was also not witnessed in terms of body fat. However, participants are said to have reported less fatigue and hunger [9].

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a type of spice that can elevate any sweet or savory dish. What is mind-boggling is that it is as effective in a medicinal setting. One study that looked at the effect of oral cinnamon on body composition and metabolic parameters of Asian Indians with a metabolic disorder reported some noteworthy results. In particular, a reduction in fasting blood glucose, waist circumference, and body mass index were witnessed. Other improved markers include the waist-hip ratio, blood pressure, serum total cholesterol, and HDL among others. Having said that, this study involved administering 3g of cinnamon for 16 weeks, hence, concentration and time are crucial factors [10].

Green Tea

Green tea has been liked as a means of losing weight because its rich source of caffeine and catechins have been shown to boost metabolism and increase fat burning. In fact, one source noted that across several studies the one consensus is that “consuming green tea can help you burn an additional 75-100 calories per day [11].” After further investigations, we found a meta-analysis on the effect of green tea on weight loss that confirmed the usefulness of catechins and caffeine for weight loss. However, it was also noted that the effect is small and that, “the habitual caffeine intake and ethnicity may be moderators, as they influence the effect of catechins [12].”

White Kidney Bean

White bean extract is presently marketed as a natural weight loss aid, but does it hold any such value? One review that assessed six clinical trials of white kidney bean extract (445 mg and 1500mg) found a significant reduction in body fat; however insignificant results were reported in terms of weight loss. Another review of 10 clinical studies using doses between 445mg and 3000mg allegedly concluded that weight loss was promoted when paired with meals containing carbohydrates. In general, with this ingredient, factors including diet, doses, and possibly exercise may be needed to see results [13].

To make the most out of this formula, individuals are asked to take two capsules twice daily with enough water. As stated on the sales page, “The proof shows that MetaBoost has already helped many people including men and women to lose weight, regardless of their age.”

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, MetaBoost is a weight loss supplement that triggers fat-burning by heating our cells and in turn, boosting the metabolism. This formula is completely natural, as it only combines an array of plants and herbs. The guiding principle of thermogenesis has been around for some time now and based on existing findings, it does have the potential in stimulating results, but they are unlikely life-transforming.

Based on the ingredient analysis above, only some of the seven ingredients have strong scientific results. Most of them appear to either lack proper testing, or results are dependent on several factors that haven’t been completely considered. While the preliminary results are promising, more research is needed to affirm maximum fat and weight loss.

Regarding MetaBoost as a whole, there’s very little that we can comment on besides the ingredients. For instance, we have the slightest clue on how much of each ingredient is included per serving (i.e., concentrations). Similarly, the advertisement suggests Boss Wellness as the manufacturer, but a further examination of the company led us in an extremely dark tunnel. For a company not to list its supplement’s fact or its background makes us question the entirety of the solution at hand – from the inside and out.

Finally, the advertisement insists that there’s proof suggesting MetaBoost is effective for both men and women of all ages, however, the supposed evidence has yet to be revealed. If claims are not supported in any way, they are likely to be perceived as merely sales tactics. We believe the next course of action should be to consult the customer service team before placing an order.
