“Walling-mont’s” Art of the Table is harkening back to their good old days when it held only Supper Club Dinners. To celebrate Fall, AOTT will hold a special Autumn Supper Club on October 15th. James Beard Award-nominated Chef Dustin Ronspies will be crafting an ode to Fall tasting menu; the multi-course dinner with beverage pairings runs $200. For reservations, call 206-282-0942.
Tougo Coffee owner Brian Wells is opening Bannister Charcuterie and Wine Bar in Seattle’s next door in Central District. The grand opening is scheduled for October 24th and will feature light fare including cured meats, cheese, oysters, wine, beer and cider. Initial plans are for Bannister to open for late afternoon/evening and to add weekend brunch in the near future.
Fremont Brewing Company and owner Matt Lincecum host a Grand Opening party for their new, expanded 3000 square foot tasting room. The new space includes 20 more taps, a stone fireplace and expanded seating. On Saturday, October 11th from 12-3p specialty brews will be flowing freely with music by Porterbelly String Band and food by Uneeda Burger.
Rachael Coyle, pastry chef and owner of Coyle’s Bakeshop, starts her Kickstarter campaign today. The Bakeshop hopes to raise $25,000 to “help fund construction and the purchase of equipment for the upcoming Grweenwood brick and mortar version” of the pop-up bakery that was previously in Fremont’s Book Larder on Saturday mornings. The shop is slated to open in early 2015.
