The holiday season is bringing gifts for Scotch drinkers in a big way at The Old Sage. Tuesday nights are 1/2 price Scotch nights and barman Lee McGlothren will be there to faithfully serve you your favorite whether it be Springbank 15, Glenfarclas 21, Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or or peaty Laphroaig select. If you are timid about Scotch or haven’t yet found one that appeases your palate then see Lee who says, “I find people don’t hate scotch, they just need the guidance to find one that they’ll love.” Have we found the fourth wise man?

Diners who love the Italian cuisine of Chef Holly Smith and Cafe Juanita but loathe driving to the east side will be happy to learn that the restaurant will make its temporary home in the former Lark space on 12th Ave. in Capitol Hill while remodeling its original digs. Beginning on February 4th through early April; Chef Smith will be running dinner service from Wednesdays through Sundays for $135/pp. Though the extensive Cafe Juanita wine list won’t be available on site, winers and diners can send the restaurant a note several days in advance if there’s a particular bottle they would like. Reservations for this short term engagement can be made via OpenTable beginning January 1st.
