Shaker + Spear opens in The Palladian Hotel with full breakfast and dinner service beginning on Tuesday, February 3rd. Chef Walter Pisano’s menu will focus on seafood with a definitive New American style. Featured dishes include Diver Scallops with golden raisin puree, bloomsdale spinach and pinenuts and Grilled Opah with basil sauce, bulgur, spiced yogurt and salmon caviar. In addition, the hotel plays host to Pennyroyal cocktail bar given downtown denizens a new place to quench their collective thirst. The Palladian is located at 2000 2nd Ave across from The Moore.

Fonte Cafe is offering all day brunch to those who want to come in and watch the big game this Sunday. Starting at 7am, the menu will feature All-beef sliders with bacon-onion jam, Seahawk Benedict made with fresh Dungeness crab, and house-made pretzel wrapped kielbasa. Add $4 Mimosas and $5 Bloody Mary’s and you’re onto something special.

For those of you looking for an overnight experience on Valentine’s Day you can check out Cedarbrook Lodge. Spend the day getting massages at the spa and then head over to the Copperleaf Restaurant for a six-course meal prepared by Chef Mark Bodinet. Dinner is $95/pp and dishes include Lobster Bisque, Caramelized Diver Scallops, and Anderson Ranch Lamb saddle. STOUT opens its doors tomorrow to the delight of enthusiastic beer mongers on Capitol Hill in the Sunset Electric building at 11th and Pine. Proprietor Paul Reeder (also of Tap House Grill) brings us a mixture of hard-to-find beers, cocktails and upscale pub food. The 5,600 square foot space also sports 15 flat screens for your viewing pleasure. Rejoice – more drinking options on the Hill – and only a block from the Police Station!
