NYC-based Top Chef Master Marcus Samuelsson will be coming to The Swedish Club this Halloween. He’ll discuss his latest book, Marcus Off Duty: The Recipes I Cook at Home while treating guests to canapes including what else – Swedish meatballs. Tickets are $75 and the event runs from 6-8 p.m.

Mexican eatery Casco Antiguo will soon open in the former Calozzi’s space in Pioneer Square. Alstadt owner Harvey Ward Van Allen is the driver behind the space and Chef Rudy Riveron, formerly of Capitol Hill’s Saint, will be at the helm in the kitchen. The plan is for Casco Antiguo to go mullet-style: business in the front, party in the back. The restaurant and kitchen will be located in the fore of the building with the cantina located aft with an alleyway entrance. Stay tuned…

The 26th Annual Fall Fisherman’s Festival is held tomorrow from 11-6 at Ballard’s Fisherman’s terminal. Fun fish activities will be on tap including a salmon grill, live music and the requisite beer and wine garden. Proceeds benefit the Seattle Fisherman’s Memorial.
