In a tribute to the artists that inspired Food and Sh*t co-conspirator Prometheus Brown to become vegan – for a little while. This month’s installment is all about the veg. Sariwa will be held on March 16th at Inay’s Asian Pacific Cuisine with two seatings at both 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. $40 gets you five dishes including Charred Carrots & Cauliflower w/ Calamansi Cilantro Vege Mayo, Eggplant and Gnocchi Adobo and the famous Ube Cheesecake – vegan-style. Sadly there will be no phat beets.

There will be a veritable culinary tour de force at RN74 when Chef David Varley teams up with BOKA Chicago chef Lee Wolen and Seattle’s own John Sundstrom of Lark and Bitter/Raw on March 16th. The trio will be cooking up a six-course meal with rotating dishes from each of the chefs paired with wines from Avennia to celebrate Washington Wine Month. The evening will begin at 6:30pm and is priced at $165 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). It’s time for Ivar’s to celebrate its namesake would-be birthday (if he weren’t dead) with a deal for all you fish eaters out there. This year marks Ivar Haglund’s 110th birthday and to celebrate Ivar’s is asking fans to take ‘selfies’ with a “Lil’ Ivar” figurine and post to Ivar’s Instagram page with the hashtag #IvarsBDay for a chance to win a $110 gift card.
