1. Full Tilt hosts a release party next week for its latest flavor: Mudhoney. The ice cream purveyor describes the concoction as a mix of, “satisfying riffs of in-your-face cinnamon with a mellow backbeat of honey and fudge…” Bonus: Pint packaging features the same art as Mudhoney’s iconic Sub Pop release, “Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge.” The event gets going at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 11 at Full Tilt’s flagship scoop shop in White Center. 2. Kaisho opens its doors in the former Boom Noodle location in downtown Bellevue this Monday. Blue C Executive Chef and Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto protege Jeffrey Lunak is launching the “modern day izakaya” spot featuring a menu that draws from global influences. Cases in point: moo shu tacos, sushi rice risotto with chanterelles and Thai fried chicken and kimchee waffles. Japanese whiskies, Japanese beers and local libations round out the drink list. Kaisho’s dining room seats up to 100; Hours are 11:30 am to 10:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 am to 11:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

3. Book Larder hosts an author talk and signing with “The Mushroom Hunters” author Langdon Cook tonight. The 6:30 to 8:00 pm event is free, but guests are encouraged to RSVP online. BooksAboutFood.com just picked “The Mushroom Hunters” as one of its Books of the Year, and Amazon chose it as one of its Best Books of 2013.
