1. After eight years on East Olive Way, Dinette is on the move. Chef and owner Melissa Nyffeler is hunting for a new location with a larger kitchen with more burners and a bigger bar. “It’s bittersweet to leave this space,” says Nyffeler, “it’s served us so well and become such a home, but it’s time to move on. A new space is ripe with possibilities and I am excited to see where we land. Endless possibilities!” Dinette hosts a series of Sunday Suppers in December and a final dinner service on Monday, December 23; book reservations online or call 206.328.2282. Look for Dinette to open in its new TBD digs sometime in 2014.
2. If you want to eat at Boom Noodle, head to U-Village. After shuttering its downtown Bellevue location earlier this fall, the just-closed Boom on Capitol Hill will reopen as sibling conveyor belt sushi spot Blue C. CHS has more details.
3. Speaking of U-Village, Liam’s opened yesterday. Non-vegans near and far can now score Beecher’s mac and cheese at Kurt Dammeier’s latest restaurant. Hours are 11:00 am to 10:00 pm daily.
4. Ballard’s Golden Beetle is serving a special Hanukkah menu featuring latkes with homemade Washington applesauce, smoked chicken and matzo ball soup and donuts stuffed with persimmon filling from November 29 through December 4. The Eastern Mediterranean eatery will continue to offer its regular menu, as well. Golden Beetle launches lunch service on Monday, December 9.
