1. After a soft opening last week, Juicebox is scheduled to officially opens its doors to the breakfast, lunch, and juice detox crowd today. In addition to fresh-pressed juices and smoothies, expect a rotating menu that includes soups, sandwiches on homemade flatbread, breakfast sandwiches and roasted pumpkin oatmeal. The space on 12th Ave. in Capitol Hill is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on the weekend.

2. Go queso! Thanks to this successful Kickstarter campaign, Ballard will be the future home of Culture Club, the city’s first cheese bar from The Calf and Kid’s Sheri Lavigne. It’s been a good week for Lavigne–Calf and Kid was just named one of the 10 Best Cheese Shops in America by Food Republic.

3. Portland-based Toro Bravo chef John Gorham is trekking north to prepare a tapas dinner and sign copies of his new cookbook Toro Bravo: Stories. Recipes. No Bull at Dahlia Lounge on Monday, December 2 at 6:30 pm. The $90 meal includes a copy of the book and more. Details and tickets are over here.
