White Center’s newest business, Proletariat Pizza (9620 16th Ave. S.W.), opened for business Friday night after a few little delays. Now our trip to White Center for the last roasted corn/torta/ice cream run of the season is going to include pizza — first report by week’s end. Ice cream lives just across the street from pizza at Full Tilt, but Proletariat will serve homemade tiramasu, a horribly underrepresented dessert in this town. Check the White Center Now blog for a first report of the space, owned by West Seattleites Stefanie and Mike Albaeck. Take note: Proletariat is open right now 5:00-9:00 p.m. Mon-Wed and Fri-Sat, but closed on Thursday and Sunday.
