We’re going to keep throwing these out at you; so don’t say

We’re going to keep throwing these out at you; so don’t say we didn’t warn you if some of these events sell out:Friday, May 8th, “Ale of Two Cities” at Greenwood’s Naked City: Silver City Brewing of Silverdale and Naked City Brewing of Seattle debut a group of collaborative beers, with a little help from Anacortes Brewery. Naked City will pair food with each beer, a “Hoptrocity” Imperial rye IPA, an “Eau Sombre” Belgian dark strong ale, and two bocks–a winter and a Helles. This is a great chance to meet the sick talent behind these breweries and drink what they can do when they play around a little. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it at least four times: Rye and red are so hot right now. (7:00pm, Naked City Brewing, 8564 Greenwood Ave. N., 838-6299)Saturday, May 9th, barrel-aged beers at Elliott Bay Brewing in Burien: The 6:00pm session has already sold out (hence the reason we’re trying to feature these things a little early). The brewery just added a 4:00-5:30pm tasting to the roster on a day bursting to full with beer events. Try five of Elliott Bay’s beers aged in different types of barrels, including bourbon, syrah and others, and enjoy tapas-style food pairings. The brewery even tinkered around with some brett-barrels hoping for some cool, sour results. Cost is $40 per person. Call 246-4211 for reservations as space is limited.
