This year’s annual Voracious Tasting & Awards promises to be one of our best yet. If you’ve never been before, check out this slidehow from last year to get a feel for what it’s like to indulge in food from your favorite restaurants and bars inside the beautiful, historic Paramount Theater while listening to live music from Seattle band Prom Queen.

Besides dozens of bites from places like Stoneburner, Pomerol, La Bodega, Cafe Munir, Blind Pig Bistro, Matt’s in the Market, the new Chop Shop, Cantina Lena, Harvest Vine and Cafe Campagne (many of which will be paired with local beers!), there’s also Food Trucks like Snout & Co., Pie, and Jemil’s Big Easy, pulled up right outside the theater for your convenience–and a breath of fresh air.

The bar line-up is pretty spectacular too; and mixologists from Bathtub Gin, Good Bar, Rob Roy, The Gerald, Quality Athletics and more will be making cocktails from ALL LOCAL spirits. The wine is local too and features Maryhill Winery, which was just bestowed the honor of Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year by Wine Press Northwest. Located in the Eastern Columbia River Gorge, Maryhill produces varietals such as Tempranillo, Malbec, Sangiovese and Cab Franc. On the night of the event, we’ll be serving their Maker’s Red, Maker’s White and Brut Sparkling wine to all ticket holders, and their Proprietor’s Reserve 2008 Serendipity in the VIP room, where beer from Dirty Bucket Brewing will also be available.

Other tasty treats will be yours for the taking too; from Cupcake Royale, Marx Foods, PCC, KuKuRuZa, Caffe Umbria, Gelatiamo and Mighty-O Donuts, among others.

I’ll be there eating and drinking and presenting awards to two very special food + drink establisments, so say hi if you figure out who I am! Oh, and on your way in or out, be sure to do a whiskey barrel tasting from Tatoosh Distillery & Spirits in the lobby. Joining them there is the San Juan Cigar Company. Washington State’s only artisan cigar maker, they’ll be rolling cigars infused with local coffee and spirits.

Tickets are selling out fast, but you’ve still got a few more days to snag them. Click here for more info and tickets.
