This past weekend we announced the Seattle Weekly Homebrew Competition over the beer, Scotch, and tequila at Hopscotch. (Did you go? Did you try the wicked Imperial Red that Lazy Boy made for our Voracious Ale this year? Easily one of my favorites, and not just because Mike Seely can fit 12oz into a 3oz cup.)Any amateur brewer may enter, as long as they brew follow a few basic rules, and brew one of the following styles: Stout, Pilsner/Lager, Pale Ale, and/or Brown Ale/Porter. Entries are due no later than August 15th, 2009. So work your plan, count backwards, and pick a starting date to ensure your beer’s freshness and doneness. The winner will have their recipe scaled and brewed at a Seattle’s mircobrewery. Click the above link for contest rules and entry form.
