This little creamy concoction has inspired a local following for Cremant and has any drink you could make behind the bar beat. Why? It starts as rich hot chocolate and doesn’t just rely on chocolate liqueur. At least, I think. I have no idea how Cremant makes their version, and while this one tastes pretty damn close, theirs leans a bit more towards a milk chocolate flavor. You can use whatever chocolate you like. You don’t need much of this drink; so consider serving it in shot glasses.1/3 cup Callebaut bittersweet chocolate, shaved1/2 cup Heavy cream2 ounces of brandy or cognac1 ounce Godiva chocolate liqueur Heat the heavy cream. Once it’s too hot to the touch, whisk in the chocolate until fully melted and allow to cool. Add the alcohol to taste (you might want yours less or more boozy) and refrigerate. For best results, store in a coffee thermos and shake like crazy before serving. (Serves 4 to 6)
