This is a lot of foodFirst, there was Spring Hill’s fried chicken Mondays. Now, Fresh Bistro (4725 42nd Ave. S.W., 935-3733) is hopping on the family-style dinner train and offering Seafood Boil Wednesdays. “I am a huge Thomas Keller fan,” says Fresh Bistro executive chef Dalis Chea. “His last cook book, Ad Hoc at Home, inspired me to do this. Fresh will actually be doing a similar thing on Sundays starting later in the spring and summer; it will be a four course meal served family style with food inspired by the West Seattle Farmers Market.”But Ad Hoc isn’t Dalis’s only inspiration.”At Herban Feast, we feel like we have perfected the art of family style service here in Seattle for functions such as weddings, auctions and other social events. I feel this is a way for folks with maybe older kids or couples with friends to come and have aninteractive meal and have a more casual dining experience with good food and a good price.”The first seafood boil is next Wednesday, March 10th. Twenty-five bucks gets you a pot of seafood that includes scallops, clams, prawns, mussels, crab, potato, and andouille sausage. You also get four sides: Fresh Bistro’s bistro salad, truffle honey cornbread, dirty rice with merguez sausage and rhubarb lime tart. Not only will you need to wear your best stretchy pants, you need four people in your party to order the seafood boil. Reservations are a must.
