The press release pretty much sums it up: 5 pigs, 5 chefs, 5 winemakers. On March 8th at the Bell Harbor Center, five chefs (Jonathan Sundstrom, Jason Wilson, Tamara Murphy, Anthony Hubbard, Matthew Dillon) will prepare a heritage pig to be judged by the crowd and a cadre of judges. I’m dropping it early because I have a feeling this will sell out. (more details at the Cochon 555 website)No offense boys, but my money’s on Tamara Murphy because I still can’t forget a pig roast she did for the very first An Incredible Feast at the West Seattle Farmers Market, September 2005 (pictured above). Yeah, when it comes to my swine, I’ve got a mind like a steal trap, and those are fried pig ears, and they were spectacular.
