Photos by Chris KornelisMaybe it’s because I’ve been on this freaked-out diet that doesn’t include donuts on the “approved” list, but I had an epiphany last month that one of the greatest pairs in the history of the universe is coffee and donuts. In my opinion, such nirvana is achieved locally at Top Pot. Today, my glazed dream came true. However, before I made it to the door, I walked past the corner of Fifth and Blanchard, which, currently is coned off because of WET CEMENT. This WET CEMENT was left COMPLETELY UNATTENDED on a summer day that found me and several passers by in sandals. I’ll admit, I completely wussed out, and didn’t leave my eternal paw print on the corner, but damn it that cement looked good. SOMEONE HURRY! DO WHAT I COULD NOT!Yes, that’s WET CEMENT, on Fifth and Blanchard.
