No picture could possibly do this hot mess justice. This is the Troublemaker Pile-up from Smarty Pants in Georgetown, and I love it, almost inappropriately. It has the protein, fat, and heat to put you right. Gobs of spicy and sauteed red onions, chicken and bacon on a hash brown shag, capped with scrambled eggs and jack cheese. It’s served with a side of their troublemaker sauce, which is best described as “spicy pink mayo.” Three words you just don’t see together enough. Smarty Pants’ brunch is as butch as it gets, short of the campfire. The list is 100% savory (though French toast is on special every now and then). And you have to bow to a place that not only serves biscuits-n-gravy, hash, and chili for breakfast, but also throws down with an eggs benedict sandwich. Not surprising, the owner is from Chi-town.Smarty Pants6017 Airport Way South, GEORGETOWNBrunch served:Saturday 10am to 2pm (*sandwiches also avail.)Sunday 10am to 3pm (*closed rest of day)
