Mighty O Donuts is partnering with Real Change to help feed the more than 400 vendors who help distribute the newspaper each month. Staring today, Mighty O will donate all of their overbake donuts to the organization for the next three months. For the record, overabake donuts aren’t scraps; they’re perfectly good donuts that either don’t sell in the cafe or arent’ pretty enough to sell retail.Might O General Manager Brandon Gillespie says up until now, they’ve donated their overbake to different non-profit groups, but felt they could make a bigger impact by chosing a specific group to donate to several times a year. Gillespie says Mighty O still wants to support the non-profits they have donated to in the past, but asks that those groups now apply for donations.
