Now its owners are trying their hand at Southern BBQ.The owners of local Mexican chain Matador are opening a new restaurant at 5309 22nd Ave. N.W. in Ballard this June, according to Seattle Met. Kickin’ Boot Whiskey Kitchen will serve Southern cuisine, including barbecue, fried catfish, wood-fired steaks, and of course, sweet potato pie. The bar menu will feature plenty of whiskey.In other news, Magnolia Voice reports that Dish it Up! at 5320 Ballard Ave. N.W. has closed after eight years of business.
