Now that you’ve mastered the art of wandering local markets, it’s time to scour Pike Place Market for the freshest produce. This week, Cascadia chef and co-owner Kerry Sear will lead aspiring foodies through the maze of market stalls at Pike Place and give insider tips on finding the freshest ingredients. The walk through the Market begins at 11 a.m. (look for the crowd by the bronze pig); tours will take place on Saturdays throughout the summer. After the stroll, guests are invited to watch Sear cook a three-course lunch, which all may then enjoy with wine—a perfect start to a summer afternoon. Market tours cost $65 per person (lunch included); for more information, call 206-448-8884 or visit www.cascadiarestaurant.com.
