Veraci, known for it’s wood-fired, authentic, Neopolitan pizza at farmers markets, festivals and private parties, opens its first pizzaria in Seattle today. Owner Errin Jett describes the place as “a quick-service restaurant where you can grab a slice or sit and eat” (in a small dining room off the open kitchen).Errin also tells me that she and her husband Marshall have the goal “to create the same experience we offer at the farmers markets, but with some new offerings such as homemade gelato, our wonderful salads and wine and beer. We will (of course!) have pizza by the slice (1/4 pizza): three cheese; fresh mushroom; pepperoni; and two rotating specials. In addition, our patrons will be able to order whole pizzas from our special menu which will also rotate.””We will also be using produce from the farmers markets and local food whenever possible. We have a goal to minimize our waste by composting and recycling all our waste.”Veraci will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m..
