Kurt Dammeier and his urban assault pig, Maximus / Minimus, will be open for lunch February 12th for a taping of “American Eats” — a new show on TLC.While a specific time has not been determined, Kurt’s people tell me, “It’ll be lunch time on 2/12, which means sometime in between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., most likely.” The pig will be parked in its usual space — in the parking lot of 2nd and Pike. “We’ll be back on April 1, 2010, and that is no April Fools,” Kurt told me right before he put the pig to bed last October. “The weather forecast for this winter in Seattle says rain and cold, not the kind of habitat mobile pigs are accustomed to.”UPDATE: I’ve just been informed that lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on February 12th. The film crew will be filming on-and-off during that time.
