Just found out over a delicious Muffaletta sandwich that Bottomfeeder’s favorite non-Bottomfeeding lunch spot, the Virginia Inn, will be closing for a few weeks beginning in January to enable a long-awaited expansion. As in: Construction of a real kitchen, which should come as welcome news to the crew of chefs who’ve produced simple, fantastic French-influenced dishes from a tiny bar nook near the First Avenue window for the past 104 years.
