Jess Thomson, who we at Voracious pretend to claim as our own

Jess Thomson, who we at Voracious pretend to claim as our own but who writes about food for many publications, is one of eight Seattle food writers who will read from their work Tuesday, November 13, at Talking With Your Mouth Full, an evening sponsored by Leite’s Culinaria, the online equivalent of Saveur magazine. (The proceeds will go toward a scholarship to fund professional development for food writers.)The reading will take place at the Hugo House from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., and if if the stories leave you ravenous, you can drive to the Palace Ballroom afterward, where Tom Douglas will cook a meal inspired by the stories. The cost is $12 for the reading ($10 for Hugo House members) and $50 for the dinner. The catch: You have to make reservations now, because the seats are almost full. Check the website for full info.UPDATE: Event organizers say that they won’t accept any dinner reservations tomorrow, so you’d have to make yours today.
