I’ve been trying to share my March Madness with as many television weilding establishments as possible. One of my favorite stops this past weekend was the newish and Greek Kristos Eastlake. Maybe I just like the color blue (the joint glows cobalt at every turn), but I think the $5.50 gyros sealed the deal. Kristos is mostly Greek, with a selection of sandwiches and meze, including a flavor packed calamari, sausage and chickpea dish run through with salsa verde ($4.50 during happy hour). Inquiring about the owners, I ran in to general manager Nichole Kyrkos, whose family owns the restaurant. She was in the middle of transitioning from paperwork in the back to serving dinner in the front. Yep, sounds like real Greek to me.Happy hour includes $4 wells, $5 wines and a buck off pints, with the entire menu (excluding entrees) at 50% off, daily from 3:00 to 6:30 pm. Late night happy hour runs 10:00 pm to close and includes the same deal on food only. (Kristos Eastlake, 3218 Eastlake Ave. E., Mon-Sat, 3:00am to 2:00am)
