I’m still on the road back from the IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals) conference in Denver, excited to be driving towards a Seattle spring.

Saturday night’s award ceremony was fun, if a little dry, but I was proud as hell to be there to accept Jonathan Kauffman’s Bert Greene Award for Internet Journalism for his piece “What I Saw, and Ate, at the Pig Sacrifice.” Now he can have bookends with his James Beard Award. I consider myself lucky that I get to work and learn from the guy.

The PCC cooks program also won an Award of Excellence for their educational programming.
