Two eye-roll-inducing articles were recently published, both touting these celebrities’ skills in the kitchen. In People, Carey’s husband Nick Cannon boasts that the diva singer makes a mean — wait for it — English muffin pizza. Apparently, she sprinkles said muffins with mozzarella cheese and “she makes her own sauce … she’s skilled like that.”

Then there’s Johansson, who claims in an interview with InStyle, that she finds cooking therapeutic. She likes to make “a turkey Bolognese or a nice frittata.” The article goes on to include raves from her fellow cast members on her signature dishes.Give me a break. I like both ladies; their talent and beauty are undeniable. But you don’t have to be Julia Child to make a damn frittata. Don’t even get me started on the English muffin pizza.
