I am a fair weather fan when it comes to NCAA basketball; my brain just can’t follow it all season. This Sunday is the selection show for the Division 1 tournament, starting at 3:00pm, and I will be watching with my laptop (don’t judge) from SPORT (140 4th Avenue N., in the KOMO complex).A few weeks ago, the fine folks at SPORT accommodated a very anxious me, rushing in to catch some friends roll through a wine and cheese pairing on KOMO as I do not have the cable. They ushered me to a table tout de suite and changed the channel for me, and that’s when I really appreciated the genius of this bar as applied to my favorite March pastime. SPORT will be a fantastic place to ctach the tourney. Each booth has its own TV, the bar snacks are solid and the beer selection decent (as in, not too many dumb blondes), but the tipping point definitely lies in the chili nachos. Go Illini! (sigh, a heartbreaker every year…)
