Happy Halloween, Seattle!Sweet freaks, rejoice. Seattle is the best city in the country to trick-or-treat in, according to the online real estate database Zillow. For its 2nd annual Trick-or-Treat Housing Index, Zillow staff examined four factors in 20 major metropolises: home value index, crime data, population density, and walk score – how easy it is to travel on foot. Home value index was used to theorize that people in wealthier neighborhoods give out cooler candy. (Who doesn’t have a story about the one awesome retired couple in the mansion who doled out king-size Snickers bars to everybody?) That, along with the rest of the data, was combined and interpreted to determine where children could safely cover “the most ground, in the fastest time, to collect the most candy.” It gets even more specific. Want to know the top 5 neighborhoods in Seattle to trick-or-treat in? Zillow covered that, too. You can check that out, plus the other cities that made the cut (below ours, of course), here.Happy Halloween, Seattle!
