Ground Control’s interior doesn’t exactly fit what the name and spraypainted mural on the side of the building may conjure. The Georgetown cafe (6105 13th Ave. S.), finally open after some building-code runarounds, looks far closer to a place where you’d ask Mr. Olsen to put your provisions on account and drink sarsaparilla. It’s the little things: They serve your Lighthouse coffee on an old gear fitted with a wooden top like a lazy Susan. Precious. Right now, Ground Control is displaying some of Ethan Bickel’s super-cute photographs of miniature motor vehicles, which are set in real world tableaux as if they were full size. And if you’re looking for an excuse to check the cafe out, this Saturday is the monthly Georgetown Art Attack (6:00-9:00 p.m.), the neighborhood’s answer to an art walk.
