The Magnolia Farmers Market will close unless it receives a minimum of $20,000 in community support, according to Magnolia Voice. The Neighborhood Farmers Market cites several reasons, including a 25 percent drop in attendance and daily sales, gross sales growth, and net income that all fall short. The Magnolia market has been running since 2003.

In more upbeat news, West Seattle Blog reports that an organic vegetarian restaurant is coming to the West Seattle Triangle. The owners of the University District-based Chaco Canyon Organic Cafe – named best vegetarian restaurant in Best of Seattle 2009 – hope to open the second location by April of next year.

Lastly, the minds behind Moshi Moshi will debut a dive bar called Harlow at 5200 Ballard Avenue. If the licensing process goes smoothly, the drinks should start flowing before month’s end.
